Accounting for the Solopreneur Ready to Scale

Done-For-You Small Business Bookkeeping

You started your business for a reason.

And a noble one at that. Building a legacy, freedom to spend time with family, and getting paid to do what you love were all on your radar when you signed up for the entrepreneur lifestyle.

If you want to scale your business to the next level, you’ll need to get the financial backend sorted first. And while you could keep DIYing it, you’re fast-approaching the point where you know you should have outsourced this a while ago (oops!).

Don’t worry — I’ll be the strategic partner you need who can take a close look under the hood and build a custom plan that will drive profitability to your business.

“I truly view Lis as a partner in my business — and can I just say, what a relief to have such an experienced partner! She’s guided me as my business has grown, helping me understand how to better price my services, pay myself well, and budget for marketing and other expenses. Investing in one-on-one bookkeeping with Lis has absolutely grown my entrepreneurial skill set and my bottom line.”

The Process

If you’re looking for hands-off accounting, you’re in the wrong place.
I take a collaborative approach so you can feel more connected to your money and have a true partner in your business.

Here’s how bookkeeping works at Lis Lee Accounting:

Discovery + Assessment

If we seem like a good fit and you’re interested in monthly collaboration, the next step is a paid assessment where I’ll review your real financial documents to get a sense of how I can help you.

Assessment Results

One week later, I’ll present you with my findings and recommendations to optimize your profitability. You’ll receive a step-by-step plan on how to regain compliance (like filing for previous tax years), straighten out your finances (like budget recommendations), or other suggestions. If you’d like me to implement these recommendations, we can discuss the monthly price for your specific situation. Alternatively, you can take my assessment results and implement them yourself.

Start Monthly Bookkeeping

In addition to the typical monthly bookkeeping tasks like reconciling your accounts and categorizing expenses, we’ll also meet each month to talk about what’s coming up in your business. We’ll analyze your top financial reports together to make sure your finances align with your business goals.

Meet the Accountant

I’m Lis Lee, and yes, I am an accountant and QuickBooks ProAdvisor, but I’m also a small business owner just like you. I understand how hard it is to manage everything in your business by yourself, especially when you start adding on new layers of complexity like hiring a team or launching a product line. But entrepreneurship doesn’t have to be a path you walk alone. I’d love to help you on your journey and join your team as your bookkeeper.

Is This What You’re Wondering?

How much does 1:1 bookkeeping cost?

This varies depending on your needs and the complexity of your business. Our intro call is always free. However, if you’re interested in monthly bookkeeping, I must conduct a paid assessment first ($400) so I understand where your business stands and can offer personalized recommendations. From there, I can give you a more accurate quote on how much it would cost for monthly bookkeeping. On average, my accounting fees range from $300-$2000. Book an intro call so we can discuss a more accurate quote for you.

Do I have to invest in a paid assessment before working with you monthly?

Yes. The assessment is the most critical part of the process. Because I offer custom services, I need to understand the financial status of your business first which requires time and access to books. Don’t worry, I’m not doing anything with your books, I’m simply reviewing them for ways to optimize your finances.

Can you do my taxes, too?

No, I am not a tax accountant. However I’m happy to connect you with a tax accountant in my network.

How do I know if I need a bookkeeper?

Is your business growing and you no longer have time to manage your own finances? If so, it may be time to commit to a strategic bookkeeping partner in your business so you can focus on more CEO-type duties. Alternatively, if you need help understanding basic finances, I recommend my signature program, Business Financial Foundations.
